Constructed in 2023, the two-story Lang Pavilion at the north end of Richardson Stadium fully encloses the stadium and gives Queen’s one of the top stadiums in Canadian university sports. The Lang Pavilion offers facilities that enhance the training environment for athletes, and the event experience for spectators, including coaches’ offices, therapy space, storage, washrooms, locker rooms, and student-athlete meeting areas. The Bob McFarlane Family Plaza, atop the Lang Pavilion, includes a fully-equipped concession stand, spectator washrooms, and an elevated viewing area for fans.
Locker Room
State-of-the-art locker room with capacity for 110 athletes, featuring expansive and comfortable lockers, and room to meet as a team. The locker room also features a spacious washroom with shower facilities.
Meeting Rooms
The multi-purpose room, located at field level within the Lang Pavilion, can be configured in a number of ways, providing space for up to 120 people. Large patio-style windows allow the field activity to enter the space, bringing the game experience close-at-hand. Integrated audio/visual systems make this a premier space for meetings, presentations, or other events both on game day or as a stand-alone booking.
Athletic Therapy Room
The Athletic Therapy space within the Lang Pavilion offers many amenities including four treatment beds, a private exam room, six cold tubs and a 1,000 lb ice machine.
Bob McFarlane Family Plaza
The Bob McFarlane Family Plaza boasts an elevated endzone view of Hand Field and the scoreboard, and dedicated washroom and concession spaces. With a standing capacity of 2,000, this is a perfect location for hosting events before or after a game, or for other special events within the stadium itself.
